Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 June 2026
This policy explains what UX Field Guide (“the app”, “we”) does with information when you use it. It is written to be read, not to hide things.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no sign-in, no account, no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, and no third-party tracker in the app. We do not build a profile of you, and we have no server that receives your activity. We cannot see how you use the app.
What stays on your device
Everything. The content library is bundled in the app. When you search, the app creates text embeddings on your device using Apple's on-device Natural Language framework and caches them locally. When you use Ask, your question is answered on your device using Apple's on-device model. Your search queries and questions are processed locally and are never transmitted to us or to any third party.
Network use
The app is built to work fully offline. The only network request it may make is an occasional check for a newer version of the bundled content, fetched as a single static file from our hosting. That request downloads content to your device; it carries no personal data, sets no identifiers, and is not used to track you. Until and unless content updates are enabled, the app makes no network requests at all.
Analytics and advertising
There are none. No usage analytics, no crash analytics tied to you, no ad networks, and no tracking across apps or websites. The app does not request the App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track.
Children
UX Field Guide is a general-purpose professional reference and is not directed at children. Because it collects no data, it gathers nothing from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. Any locally cached data (such as search embeddings) is removed when you delete the app from your device.
This website
This site is static, serves its own fonts, and includes no analytics, cookies, or third-party requests.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected before they take effect in a new version of the app.
